About
Working with me
If you are new to therapy, or have tried it in the past, this section aims to help you a understand a little more about what you can expect if you decide to work with me.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - A structured form of therapy, where you can expect to have regular check ins around mood, behaviour, and thoughts, utilising tools and techniques, along with worksheets, to help you build a practical Blueprint for change in yourself or your circumstances. This therapy is highly individualised, and integrates understanding of the things from your past that influence your present, and develop strategies to overcome the unhelpful cycles that might be keeping you feeling stuck.

Listening Support - An informal, unstructured, and open-ended type of support, that relies on the framework that we develop at the start of our sessions - we are very clear on what you can expect from me and from the sessions, and this aims to provide a sense of consistency and safety to the space as we progress. What we talk about and when is entirely up to you. Similar to counselling, this non-judgmental and validating space is sometimes all that someone needs to facilitate change on their own terms.

CBT Supervision - I have years of experience working in the NHS as a qualified CBT therapist, providing a supportive and educational environment for therapists to reflect on their cases, improve their skills, and ensure ethical practice. My supervision sessions are designed to help therapists deliver the best possible care to their clients, and can borrow from psychodynamic theory to deepen formulation driven treatment.
